Anime i use to watch?

Dont remember much of anything about it. Similar to pokemon in the fighting sense that the owner/master calls out the moves they want their "thing" to use. This "thing" in thise anime looks like a midget but with superpowers. Not much more that i remember but if u have any guesses on what this anime is called its much appreciated. I use to watch this as a kid (im 22 now)
