Also try to improve your connections through linkedin, which I feel one of the best ways to land a job because most of the jobs are not advertised so applying through contacts are very important

Also since these days everybody apply through the web hand delivery of the CVs also a good option

You can try an employment agent in your country also but try only a trusted one

Also search the web for list of companies in your industry (Eg:since you are a teacher get a list of schools in UAE) go to their web sites, go to careers or contacts and apply directly
