Correlation does not imply causation, the increase in CO2 hasn't been proven to be the cause of obesity. Before that statement could be true, it would require testing to establish whether or not it is true.

Causation, Sarah is asking for statistics help online because she can't be bothered to read the textbook.

Correlation, Sarah is a woman, I have prejudices against women and Sarah's actions confirm my prejudices.

Correlation does not equal causation. The correlation between the atmospheric co2 level and obesity levels does not necessarily mean that atmospheric co2 causes obesity.

Logically, such a statement cannot be proven as valid until a more-specific and valid premise is provided.

The general assumption is given that C02 levels and obesity levels have simultaneously increased since the 1950's, and because C02 levels affect human health, that they C02 activity is responsible for obesity.

Such a deduction is flawed because it does not consider the possibility that other, relevant variables were involved in the rise of obesity. Furthermore, the known evidence of C02 influence is highly suggestive of the fact that the actual effects are much different than assumed.

Since the atmospheric CO2 level has increased sharply,

The temperature rises, people drink more beer, more soda,

    Hence, the obsesity levels increase.

  • we should outlaw obesity to reduce co2 levels.
