How much do oncologists make?
Mu ex girlfriend is going to school to be one, she's currently going for technician but gonna go for the actual thing after. But my point is, how much do they make starting out? The oncologists. I know it depends on location and employer but like generally what is the "lowest" that they start out with? In a big city? And vice versa, not so big city. My best friends mom said she won't be making 200k from the start and I know that but it's still a hell of a lot more than any of us are making and will make.

In the US the training for oncology is four years of med school and residency for five years. Are you sure that is what she is doing? An oncologist can easily make $200k once they complete residency. They can potentially make much more. Residents are paid much less.

An Oncologist is a Surgeon specialising in Cancer. It takes 7 years at medical school to train as a Doctor, then many more years to specialise as a Cancer specialist.
Your girlfriend needs to get real. No technician ends up as an Oncologist.
