How to know if Pleco is getting enough food?
I have an albino bristle nose Pleco in a 75g tank along with a jack Dempsey, jewel cichlid and 6 albino tiger barbs. He used to live in my 29g that was always covered in algae and he was growing quickly so I switched him to my 75 and he spends most of his time hiding around the rocks and is rarely on the glass like he was in the 29. The lights aren't as good in this tank and I haven't noticed any algae whatsoever. I used to give him veggie rounds and he would eat them quickly but my jack and jewel usually get to them before the Pleco does. Is he getting enough food? How can I get him more food without having it eaten by the other fish?

Try feeding right after lights out, as Bristlenoses are nocturnal and will have a better chance getting the food at this time. Also, you might need to just put in enough food so that after the Cichlids get some there is still some left for him. You can also try offering blanched veggies such as Zucchini rounds and seeing if he has better luck getting some of those.
Another option is to have algae rocks. Just get a few good sized aquarium safe rocks and put them in a container of aquarium water in a rubbermaid by a window where the container gets plenty of light. Once one of the rocks is covered in algae, you can introduce it into the aquarium. Then you can switch it out for another algae covered rock once it has been cleared off by the Pleco, and have a rotation going so he always has some algae available.
