Why is my cat so crazy?
This is gonna be lengthy, so please bear with me.
My cat was abandoned and malnourished at 10 das old. I took her to the vet the day after I found her, and besides her diminutive size and borderline starvation, she was fine.
2 months later, she began to show neurological symptoms. She was only using her back legs to crawl, and her front legs were limp. She would scrabble at the floor frantically until she found something to press the top of her head against. I rushed her to the vet, she got fluids, and tested + for coccidia. The vet had no idea what caused her to have the weird behavior, but we started her on Albon anyway. After a couple weeks, she was like new.
At 7 months she was spayed, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.
But now at 18mo, she is EXTREMELY food aggressive. She is fed 2x a day, and she steals. She is a kleptomaniac and steals any food in sight. Bread, vegetables, chips, even cartons that held food are targets. She will attack you by clawing and biting if you even walk by her when she's eating. If I try to take something that's bad for her, I end up bleeding. I have to throw her food when I feed her, or she bites.
She had blood work done, it came back normal. She has no competition for food, there are no animals around when she eats, and she gets the recommended amount.
I tried free-feeding, but she made herself sick. Help! Any ideas or input into what might be wrong with her, or what might help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!

The level of idiocy in the answers today is just... riveting.
Anyway, could be one of a few things depending on what other symptoms she as. Keep track of when she is aggressive and when she isn't. Especially when she plays. Keep track of what places she feels safe sleeping and how often you see her about. If she's coveting things and hiding them, it's a sign of her being uncomfortable in her environment. If she's eating all the food in sight until she's sick, it could be environmental, but knowing how young she is and her medical history, it could likely be hormonal. Something's out of whack in her cat head. She either thinks she's hungry, or she thinks she needs to take any food she finds. That's the sort of aggressiveness you see in feral cats. If she had neurological problems before she probably has neurological problems again. Ask the vet if they have anything to calm her down and watch if her demeanor changes towards food. If it doesn't, it's likely just a behavior that can be unlearned. Establishing a consistent feeding system couldn't hurt anyway.

I believe that cats bite if they are threatened or bored, Let your cat play with some toys and give her some time by herself. My friend's cat is pretty crazy and it bites sometimes, one way we fixed this issue was by getting the cat some toys and some space, cats are not attached to their human owners as dogs are. I would also recommend taking her to the vet to identify any health issues. Also, spend some time with your cat and put her in a timeout if she bites. Reward her for good behaviors.
