what coursework should I expect if I am to work for a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering?

    Calculus & Differential Equations and beyond

    Classical Physics

    Statics and Dynamics

    Strength Of Materials

    Computer programming

    Fluid Mechanics

    Heat Transfer

    Chemistry

    Technical Writing

    Most Engineering also require credits in Humanities and then you have your electives.

    First two years, you will take the same courses most engineers take:

    -General Electives like English/writing, history, art, economics, and physical education.

    -Calc 1, Calc 2

    -Chemistry 1 and 2 with labs

    -Physics 1 and 2.

    -Statics, Dynamics, and Strength of Materials.

    -Intro to Engineering Design.

    -Thermodynamics

    In your last two years, you will take statistics and probabilities, manufacturing and machining courses, 3D modeling and CAD course, Calc 3-4, Physics 3-4, Technical Writing for engineers, senior capstone project, fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, mechanical vibrations, and material science.

    A lot of math and physics for scientists and engineers. (Math is the queen of science.)
