Is it appropriate to ask Yoga Trainer what at home DVD I could do?
I take a local Yoga Class only once a week (that's all she offers here) Although she gives 2 other classes in another town, that is not feasible for me. Is it appropriate to ask her what DVD I might buy to use at home on other days, or is it offensive that I am wanting to do it for free in my home? She is a nice lady and does great classes, but I want to do this same low impact, beginner yoga at home too.

If she is a reputable teacher she'll give you the best advice, which would incorporate home Yoga as well as attending her classes.

why wouldn't you just be doing the exercises you do in your yoga class on the other days too?
