Yes. It was obnoxious to state that they would not even consider any nominate when they once were for replacing a Justice in the president's last year in office. Partisan politics at it worse.

Teddy said that if they allow Obama, Hillary, Bernie to pick a justice terrible things will happen.. The SCOTUS will then get rid of the 2nd amendment, abortions on demand through the through out the entire pregnancy and the US will lose religious freedoms.

I'm more annoyed (and on a scale of 1 to 10, my annoyance level is a 2) that they actually said it. I think they would have been better off saying, "Listen, if Barack wants to appoint a moderate with a history of a strict interpretation of the Constitution, then we can certainly have a discussion. But he has already appointed two Justices, and if he thinks we are going to throw away the ideological balance of the Court, then his nominee will be dead on arrival."

All Obama needs to do is nominate a centrist, moderate, balanced jurist and the Republicans will not be able to block her for 11 months. But I don't need to worry because that will never happen and the Republicans are well justified to block a radical. For God's sake, Eric Holder's name came up!

It's perfectly within the powers of the Senate to hold off a judicial appointment in an election year. You'll just have to continue being annoyed.

NO, The left wing will say the American people will be mad or angry if the senate blocks obama's nomination but that is not true. The American People Want obama To Be Blocked. That is why we gave the senate back to the republicans to stop him from any more destruction.

It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm not even a Democrat, I'd say I lean more Republican, but this childish behavior is obscene.
