Up till now, the technology for border protection (for short ranges – up to 2 KM) was based on short range radars, electronic fences and VMD (Video Motion Detection) characterized with a high rate of false-alarms and limited detection, especially in difficult terrain such as dense vegetation, sand storms, etc.

MAGNA, in collaboration with the IDF’s technological unit, developed a passive electro-optic radar that combines a pair of thermal cameras and/or CCD cameras that cover the detection zone. With the stereoscopic vision MAGNA achieves unique paremeters using 3D capabilities (combining distance, height from the ground, velocity and more). Those parameters are the basis of the sophisticated software, that filters any kind of disturbance and at the same time doesn’t affect detection ratios.

The extraordinary testing results (based on thousands of penetration attempts) show over 99% detection reliability while keeping a minimal false-alarm rate, up to a single false reading per 24 hours (including positive and negative targets).

Due to the impressive results the IDF officially approved MAGNA as a border protection system.

    MHR (Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar) FAMILY

MHR is a family of stationary and mobile radars designed for force and border protection applications. The family includes the RPS-40 radar system for hostile fire detection and management, the RPS-42 for tactical air surveillance, and the RHS-44 for border intrusion management.

The RPS-40 Hostile Fire Detection Radar System detects, tracks, classifies and locates direct and elevated threats fired at stationary or mobile forces. It computes the Point-Of-Origin (POO) and Point-Of-Impact (POI) of the threats, which may be rockets, artillery, mortars, ATGMs, RPGs, and more. The system can be integrated with any protection and/or C4I system and be installed at stationary bases and posts, or onboard fighting vehicles.

The RPS-42 Tactical Hemispheric Air Surveillance Radar System can detect, classify and track all types of aerial vehicles – including fighters, helicopters, UAVs, transport aircraft, etc. at tactical ranges. Mobile or stationary, the system can be integrated with any C4I system and other radars and sensors, and can operate either as a stand-alone or as part of a large-scale surveillance system.

The RHS-44 Radar System for Border Protection can detect, identify, and track aerial and surface border intruders including slow and small aircraft, vehicles, vessels, and pedestrians at tactical ranges. The RHS-44 can operate either as a stand-alone or as part of a large-scale surveillance system.

We have the West Bank barrier, high security fences, high security in airports, army patrols around land borders and a navy always scanning the sea. Air force drones watch our dangerous borders from above. There's UN peacekeeper bases between us and Lebanon and Syria, after the high security borders. We also have remote control cameras and guns next to Gaza which can shout warnings to terrorist infiltrators and shoot if needed.

With a fence (this is what we need). They also have great airline security.
