My drunk dad embarrassed me?

Talk to your Dad, respectfully, when he is not drunk. Tell him how it made you feel and preferably have your mother be with you during the conversation if your parents are together. Another adult also like a step-parent or aunt or uncle or someone if they are not together.

Also there is a support group my cousin goes to whose father is an alcoholic called Al-Anon and for teens and children of an alcoholic it is called Alateen. The website is attached below. Remember it is a disease he has, it does not mean he is bad or anything, but nothing wrong with pointing out to him how he made you feel. Often alcoholics are able to recover with treatment.

I would say "My father had a bad reaction to the medicine he was taking after having just a couple beers." I understand your embarrassment. I remember some of things my Pop did while drunk...So embarrassing. Do remember it wasn't your behavior. Keep your head high always.

just apologize to your neighbor about it, and you shouldnt have to live with a dad thats being a drunk , if you told this to cps they might let you go live elsewhere where you could have your friends over without this happening
