Why are these liberal candidates against fracking?

What the hell's wrong with fracking? We been doing it safely for 75 years now?

    As a liberal I have no problem with fracking when it is done safely. The problem is that some of the fracking done today is not being done safely.

    In some cases chemicals used in fracking have polluted ground water, or even caused tap water to catch on fire.

    In some cases wastewater injection wells at fracking sites, as well as other oil production sites, have caused earthquakes.

    We haven't been doing it safely. It's damaging the groundwater reserves, and has been linked to earthquakes. Don't you think it might be better to go solar?
