Will kittens inherit a parent's disability?
I have adopted a full grown cat, we noticed that her left eye has poor eyesight, maybe blind, and we think she's deaf too, she doesn't respond when we call her or even make disturbing sounds. My question is, if she gets pregnant, will her kittens inherit the disabilities?

Did you find out everything about the cat's history? Maybe the deafness and the partial blindness aren't at all genetic, but due to an illness or an accident of some sort.
And: No, it doesn't all depend on the second person. Genetics is much more complicated than just "a plus b equals c". In the second or third generations, traits from grandparents can show, and cats are even still more complicated, because a female cat can have kids from different fathers.

It's possible. It all depends on the genes the mother and father have. Genetics are pretty complicated and vary from disability to disability, so I'd ask a veterinarian about specific ones. I'm going to say that it's not a sure thing for any of the kittens, but definitely possible. Good luck with your disabled kitty! Hope she has a good long life.

It depends on what's causing the disabilities. If it's genetically linked, then the offspring could inherit the problem(s). If it's a failing--on the same order as crossing a donkey with a horse you get a mule who is sterile--because of breeding, then there's the possibility the babies could have the disabilities, or if not might pass it on to future babies. If the disability is caused by an accident, then it is unique to that cat and won't be passed on.

it is a 50-50 chance if the disabilities are genetic they will pass down to the kittens, but if it was like a injury for a car or fall it won't affect the young.

If they are genetic, then yes they kittens will inherit the genes. And why would you breed your cat? Get her spayed and then you don't have to worry about it.

You didn't adopt it since it would have been spayed. Why do you want to bred you mutt cat any way? It will produce ill bred mutt cats with major issues that no one will want so you will dump them at a shelter to be put down
Spay the cat

possible deafness, rarely blindness... spay your cat now so nothing can be passed on...

yeah, most likely... do not breed her... get her fixed so she does not become pregnant...

it depends on the other cat, i bet this one is white with light eyeah...................................................... if so the other cat should not be white with light eyeah, usually light blue
