Can you speak to us concerning your concept of "Salvation"?

Salvation is provided by Jehovah through Jesus Christ for “all sorts of men.” (1Ti 4:10) He saves them from sin and death (Ro 8:2), from Babylon the Great (Re 18:2, 4), from this world under Satan’s control (Joh 17:16; Col 1:13), and from destruction and everlasting death (Re 7:14-17; 21:3, 4).

How can one attain salvation? Why do we need salvation? And is it once saved always saved? The bible answers these!

Maybe the best way is to simply tell you about my experience.

    ====================

I feel I was blessed because I was raised in a good Christian family, and we were actively involved in the Church of the Lutheran Brethren, which is a very good church. But then while in my early twenties, I migrated to a Baptist Church. I had accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I was very young, but I had a very limited understanding. Then in my late teens and early twenties, once I knew more, I reaffirmed that decision.

There is something very common to "childhood conversions." And that is doubts. As you get older, you wonder about things. Now I was several years older. And you ask yourself questions. Do I believe this stuff I was taught as a kid? Am I really a Christian? Did I get the wording right? I had some nagging minor doubts, but the doubts were too minor to do anything about, and yet they were persistent.

In my case, I went to a Christian seminar that lasted all week, and one of the things that the speaker talked about was childhood conversions. And it really helped me understand why I was feeling the way that I was. And through this guidance at this seminar, I was able to RE-AFFIRM that prior decision. I made a resolution that night that I was 100% on board. These were not hollow words. God was doing a work in my heart. I was ready, as a young adult, to commit to Jesus Christ.

From that day on, I have never had any doubts about being "saved." And ever since then, I have continued in my walk with Christ. I have a desire to understand spiritual things.

If you decide to make a similar decision, I recommend getting some help from a good bible teacher.

In fact, I am recommending we send you to Boot Camp. This is with the Grace To You web site. There are 4 messages you need to hear. These are free to listen to, and free to download as an MP3, if you prefer. Or you can simply read the text.

There’s a reason soldiers go to boot camp before they go into battle. Training in the basics helps keep them alive in battle, builds stamina to stay in the fight, and provides a foundation on which they can refine their skills as soldiers.

Consider yourself enlisted in a practical boot camp for the Christian life. John MacArthur’s time-honored study Spiritual Boot Camp takes you through a four-part course in the Christian disciplines necessary for spiritual growth. Essentials that can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

In this series you’ll discover practical guidelines for studying your Bible, communicating the gospel to others, praying more effectively, and using your spiritual gifts. This study is ideal whether you’re a new believer or a seasoned veteran.

Repent, get saved, read the bible daily, and bear fruit by helping people in order to get raptured into heaven and escape this year's tribulation disasters. We are in the end times. Also, you don't need to go to church as long as you're reading the bible every day.

    Luke 21:36

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

What we should be concerned about is what is God's way of Salvation which the Bible is abundantly clear on.

The Gospel (good news) of God is that the one and only God, who is holy, made us in his image to know him. But we sinned and cut ourselves off from him. In his great love, God became a man in Jesus, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross, thus fulfilling the law himself and taking on himself the punishment for the sins of all those who would ever turn and trust in him. He rose again from the dead, showing that God accepted Christ’s sacrifice and that God’s wrath against us had been exhausted. He now calls us to repent of our sins and to trust in Christ alone for our forgiveness. If we repent of our sins and trust in Christ, we are born again into a new life, an eternal life with God.

One of the best Books of the Bible to read about the Gospel is the New Testament Gospel of John, if you don't have a Bible you can read one online, the ESV version is my favorite.

This weekend Christians are celebrating Good Friday and Easter. Good Friday is the day that Jesus was crucified and Easter which is on Sunday is the day Jesus rose from the dead.

The tendency to act selfishly and ultimately to act to our own detriment is a cycle of slavery to sin and a prison of our own construction.

We are rescued from this by being enlightened of a different way to live. Salvation is another word for rescue.

The concept of the caged bird singing is more apropos to the sinner than to the pious. The pious is freed. The sinner is caged. Not the opposite that is often presented.

Sure Jesus provided full payment for our sin.

So we humans don't have to spend our lives in performance trying to make it up to god.

Instead we are free to reconcile with our fellowman and improve our spirit and our planet giveing thanks to God and following his instructions through Jesus Christ.

That how simple it is! Not ritual required no sacrifices on an alter no punishment from one man to another. We are to use that time repairing our mistakes and reconciliation with our fellowman and god will guide us.

So simple that humans just can't accept the idea!

I won't do so at length (pearls before swine and all) but I will say that for me salvation is about being made fully alive. It includes forgiveness, but is much, much broader than just that.

We need to be saved from forgetfulness, to come to Remembrance.

Instead of walking in knowledge of Self, we carry a false image of self that blinds our hearts & distorts our vision.

    Many Blessings!

By virtue of Adam's sin in Eden, all humankind became spiritually unregenerate. Unless and until God remakes us spiritually in the image of his Son Jesus Christ, we will die in Adams sinful flesh image and spend eternity in hell.

When we allow God ro regenerate us spiritually one by one, we are saved from sin, the devil, death, and hell and awarded eternity in heaven with Gods perpetual blessings.

Its called being "born again" in scripture

Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jhn 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
