A question for atheists who accept the multiverse hypothesis?

Multiverse theory does NOT mean that anything you can imagine has got to be true somewhere. I means that there is another universe out there for every possible combination of all the atoms and energy in the universe. If god is a combination of atoms and/or energy, then yes. If not then no.

Agree with marsel duchamp. The multiverse hypothesis would mean there are universes *created by* the whole quantum physics thing, not gods. So, "God", or "godlike really powerful being" would have been created by that universe, not the creator of it.

Unless we go into sci fi territory and God is a really powerful creature that somehow figures out how to get outside of his universe, go back in time, and become the creator of the universe that created him.

If possibilities of what caused the universe are truly infinite, then sure, there could be a god out there; but that would also mean that some other universes were created by cosmic bullfrogs and flying squirrels.

That is a contradiction of terms. If you are an atheists asking this I would expect more from you. but if you are a fundie asking this, I would not expect anything more.

If there is a "god" then the multi-verse is completely transparent to him and if he existed then he would exist in ALL realities.

Actually its not. Im a christian, and i believe in the possibility of a multiverse. But to have God, in one universe, but not in another, defies the nature of God. That would be more like a demigod (not using the term the traditional way)

That would not be possible for an omnipotent creator god since he would just be a creature of that universe. Maybe a more limited type of god but not the kind most people imagine.

It's a hypothesis. I'll accept it when there is sufficient evidence to support it as a theory.

In the same way, I'll believe that a god is behind this system when I see some evidence to support that concept. Thus far, I haven't seen any.
