    The next level of inquiry would be black out days vs open dates, ease of use, which airline you prefer (based on comfort, routes, non-stops to your favorite destinations,,,).

    After the initial boost of rewards for signing up, airline "miles" (points) accumulate at the same 1 penny per dollar that most reward cards pay, so I just earn $ from my regular rewards card, add on the annual fee I saved, and go when and where I want, on whatever airline with no worry about seat limits or blackout dates.

    Personally I would never get a card that charges me an annual fee. As most do not why waste my money?
