Because that's the segment of America Trump is pandering to.

These are the dim, largely uneducated folks who have been watching FOX News non-stop for the past 15-20 years. These are the folks who honestly believe Obama is a Muslim Socialist dictator who was born in Kenya. These are the folks that FOX News has been telling to be angry about immigrants who are all Mexicans and are taking their jobs. And about terrorists who are all Muslims and have brown skin and want to destroy America.

Trump's whole campaign is based on fear, anger, and hatred.

The definitional use of racism has been diluted downward. So that even slight ideological disagreement becomes seen as 'racist!'. If Joe is one color and Aiah is another. Now, if Aiah and Joe are the same? Then it breaks into 'sexist!', homophobe!, islamophobe!, bigoted!, ignorant! and or reeddddneeeckkk!

In short it is now used to provide a verbal block for the thought 'He's trying to change my mind!' ATTACK!

That's just propaganda put out to discredit Trump. There are racists everywhere voting for all the candidates.

Because Trump appeals to people who are too lazy to actually THINK.

Because racist people are often ignorant so Trump appeals to them because they don't understand his faults. (feel the bern! )

There are rich, poor and middle-class racists. The poor and middle-class racists get the most attention because they are the loudest and have the worst manners.

They're not. Being against illegal immigration isn't racist. Being against a refugee program isn't racist. You a useful well taught tool for the democrats.
