Questions about earlobe piercings?
Hellooo
I asked a similar question a few days ago but I have some more specific questions now haha.
I am 15 years old and wanting to get my ears pierced next month. I am completely new to piercings and this will be my first one so forgive me if my questions seem silly!
First of all I am a big wuss and am quite nervous about the pain, how would you rate the pain?
Secondly, how long after getting ears pierced do they hurt for? I ask this because I will be having exams the week after I get them pierced and am worried that my ears will be causing me pain during the exams and distracting me. Do they stop stinging/hurting after a few days?
Also, how long until the pain/soreness is completely gone and you can touch them without ANY sensitivity at all? (im just interested to know).
Finally, I use over-ear headphones a lot but I can imagine these will irritate my new ear piercings? I can use earphones in the healing process but how long do you think it will hurt my ears to wear over ear headphones. I guess its the same for sleeping; how long until you can sleep on the new piercing without pain?
Thank you for reading all of this, again sorry if the questions seem stupid just want to know everything haha!! :)
I got them done 6 weeks ago now! Totally recommend it for anyone who was feeling the same as me!!

We can't tell you how much it will hurt, because each person experiences pain differently. What hurts for me might not hurt for you.
Once you get them pierced, the pain stops that day. If they still hurt after a few days, you could be allergic to the metal the earring is made of.
After a few weeks you can touch them without having any sensitivity or issues at all. This does not mean that they are fully healed.
You should not sleep on the healing piercing, because that will irritate it and cause pain when you wake up. You can wear over the ear headphones as long as they don't irritate the piercings, this is while they are healing or after they have healed. I wear over the ear headphones, and if I wear large earrings my ears get a bit red and irritated.

Lobe piercings honestly don't hurt at all. (When I got my doubles, I didn't even realize the lady had pierced my ear until she said "okay next one!"). To get an idea of the pain, lightly pinch your earlobe really quickly between your fingernails. After it's pierced, it'll feel hot for up to 30 minutes afterward, but it isn't painful at all. They might be a little sensitive for a few weeks, but nothing to be concerned about as long as you keep them nice and clean and twist them several times a day. Good luck!

It doesn't hurt after the initial piercing. It only hurts for a second while piercing.

I recently got my ears re-pierced and had to relive the quick pain. It may feel like the stinging pressure of a shot, but the pain goes away almost as quick as it comes, at least for me. I would rate the pain a 6/10, meaning I would say ouch, but I wouldn't scream if that's what you're saying.
You could replace your headphones with ear phones to answer your other question.
