What are some good maintenance jobs in the Air Force?

Ones that transfer well into the civilian world.

    The only thing that does not transfer in some way is AERIAL refueling and combat activities. Everything else is pretty much usable where aircraft go.

    i was an aircraft hydraulic mechanic and when i retired, i went to work in civil service working on the C-141 then the C-17.

    Maintenance in what context? Maintain databases? Working as a janitor? Maintaining vehicles? Maintaining jets? All very different.

    none

    there are so many unemployed former airline mechanics that it is impossible to get a job

    and the number of airline mechanics is getting smaller, they are moving most maintenance overseas
