History question!! Middle Ages as "Dark Ages"??

The term “Dark Ages” has often been applied to the Middle Ages. Do you

agree or disagree with this characterization? Include 3 points/examples please!

    'Dark Ages' only ever referred to the period 476 AD to about 1000 AD - and nowadays,historians prefer the term Early Middle Ages instead.

    476 to c1000 Early Middle Ages (previously known as the Dark Ages)

    c1000 to c1300 High Middle Ages

    c1300 to 1492 Later Middle Ages.
