What speed to go with no posted speed limit??
Hi, tomorrow I'm taking my driver's license test for the first time at the Gaithersburg MVA in Maryland. I have seen some videos online with people driving the course and I noticed that there are roads that you have to turn on with no speed limit posted at all (or at least for the portion that you have to drive on). I don't know what to do in that situation and it's got me nervous. Speed is my main concern and I don't want to unnecessarily fail by going over the speed limit when I have no way of knowing what it is.

Metropolitan Grove Road, Bank St, and Firstfield Road, and I think a few more have no sign saying what the speed limit is. What speed do I go at for these roads??? I'm very confused.
Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Most residential surface streets have a speed limit of 35 MPH. If you watch the video closely you'll see a speed limit sign at :56 that says just that!

"rick" is correct......I saw a 35 mph sign @ 1:44 just after the Shell station AND noticed several mistakes that the driver in the video made (1) driver should have been looking ahead, and made a lane change to the left to avoid a possible accident with the vehicle exiting that Shell station @ 1:44 - VERY poor judgment by just moving around the exiting vehicle (2) @ 2:06, there was a vehicle exiting a shopping mall; the driver should have reduced speed (3) @ 3:01, there was no need to wait til the opposing vehicle made the left turn ................that City has very few signs ; normally they are posted after an intersection

I didn't watch your video because I didn't need to.
The answers you want are in that handbook they gave you to study.
ALL unsigned streets and roads have limits - those limits are described in your handbook.
Knowing that is actually part of your test.
