Why do conservatives say that liberals are uneducated?

It's partly because conservatives have been trained in the last few decades to see political rhetoric as an insult contest. So 'liberals' are not just uneducated they're stupid, ugly, evil, just whatever bad things you can come up with to say about them.

And 'liberals' is in quotes because it's not about actual political liberalism. Since the 60s, Republicans used the word 'liberal' for anyone they disagreed with.

I wouldn't say that liberals are uneducated. Some of them are so educated to the point that common sense leaves them. Living in academia, safe from the real world, can become a hindrance. I would say that liberals, and I'm not talking about the progressive politicians, are extremely gullible and naive though.

Liberals aren't uneducated. There is a difference between being educated and being intelligent. The Communists sent many people to re-education camps that had nothing to do with becoming more intelligent. Real education comes in many forms like experience and schools. When it comes to schools it just depends on what is being taught.

I can't speak for everyone, but when I inform a liberal that I have a PhD in neuroscience and I am voting for Trump, they immediately go into "that does not compute" mode. They are brainwashed to the extent that they cannot conceive of people vastly more educated then they are who do not share their political viewpoint. That makes me a liar. How dumb can they be?

Liberals are intellectually superior compared to conservatives. Conservatives have always hated intellectuals. For instance, when Nicholas Copernicus proved that the earth circled the sun and not vice versa the village idiots came after him with pitch forks and torches.
