Singers, how do you find privacy?
I sing, and I really need more privacy. I am a college kid with roommates, and I don't want to wake anybody up with vocal warmups, or singing/musical work. or annoy people with the noise. What can I do?

I would recommend seeing if your school has practice rooms available if they have a performing arts center. They're usually private and convenient for everyone. However, as many music majors will tell you, sometimes it's extremely hard to find one that's open. One trick my friends and I use is practicing in the stairwell during other classes so it's empty. Besides the fact of it being quiet, the acoustics are AMAZING and echo everywhere. I've also warmed up in broom closets and other small spaces like that before when practice room space is low. If all of that fails, my boyfriend and I gave earplugs out to our neighbors as a greeting gift and we just practice there and hope they like opera!
Hope this helps!

in college, before and after school many classrooms and even auditoriums are empty some may even have a piano if you need one.

Does your school have a music department? If so, they will have practice rooms.
