would the human race be different if we were more of a collectivist instead of individualist?

what do you think? I personally feel that this would make the human race last a lot longer than its going to with our current individualist upbringing

Many cultures in the East are collectivist, but America and other western cultures are largely individualistic. Individualist cultures have their good points, but there are major drawbacks. Principal of which is that it is difficult to get anything accomplished.

    You got it backwards

The human race has succeeded as well as it has bc it acted as a collective rather than as individuals

  • Life would be easier, since we would all have a pre determined purpose... but I prefer the uncertainty that comes with having my own mind
