My dad yelled at me for not getting him something for fathers day?
I wrote him a heartfelt letter and gave him it. And he said I'm not a kindergartener anymore. You can buy me socks anything! You are the worst boy ever ask anyone. And leaves into his room.

That's really sad. He doesn't even sound worthy of getting your letter, much less a gift.

Gifts are selfish to want

Apologize to calm him down and explain yourself that you put your heart into it. If he doesn't want to hear it, leave him be. It's better than nothing.

maybe you should go to the store and buy him something or you might have an angry dad around

Here's my take on the situation. You don't say how old you are, but if you earn some of your own money, and you're not forced to use it all for essentials (things that you more or less need to keep up a certain level of hygiene and keep clothes on your back), then your dad is right - you should have gotten him a small gift of some sort. He said socks. Or, maybe his favorite treat. Now, if you don't really have your own spending money, then a card with a nice note telling how good of a father he's been to you would have been sufficient. If you get an allowance or if you do earn some money on your own, you should be able to squirrel some away for gifts. If you're spending all your money on your own frivolous wants and on treating yourself. Then definitely your father has a valid point. You should start saving now for Christmas gifts.
