What is it called when 2 people make music together?

Not a band, I dont know what the term is. Someone commented on one of $UICIDEBOY$ music videos saying "favorite band" and I'm wondering what the correct term is.

I'd say the performance is a duet and the group is a duo, but it's probably OK to call the group a duet.

A collaboration or duet. It’s really two different words with the same meaning.

Two people playing or singing together are a duo, and the piece they perform is a duet.

I wouldn't usually call a two-person group a band, although technically I suppose it is a small band.
