What do the numbers in the headlights of a car mean?

If you look closely into the headlights of a car, you'll see a series of numbers. Is it the VIN or something else.

    Simply a part or serial number of the lighting component. Any similar vehicle lighting part of the same make and model of vehicle will have the same exact identifying numbers.

    Serial and model numbers of the light itself, not the car's VIN.

    It's not a VIN, it's just a serial number that's all.
