What do I need to build a computer?

I'm interested in building a computer but obviously I'm new to this, so what do I need and what should I do. Also I have an old hp a700n that I can use as a base. I will take video referrals as well as advice

dump the HP a700N. not worth reuseing since you can get cases very cheap.

    you need

    a case

    CPU

    Motherboard (same socket as CPU)

    RAM

    HDD or SSD.

    PSU (power supply unit).

    Operating system (like windows)

that's about it, some motherboards come with onboard graphics, meaning you dont need a graphics card.

the components you will need depends on what you intend to use the computer for and your budget..

make sure before you buy anything, you list the parts so people can go over your setup to see if everything will work, and reccomend any changes if you have poor parts or parts that you can get better for a similar price.

Look up budget builds on youtube, they include every part to buy, how to build it, and after it is built it shows the speeds and what it can and cannot run.

Waste of time. No part of that old thing will be any use.
