Let's say that a friend accidentally used their bible to prop up the microwave oven because a leg broke from it, and then a bowl of?
scalloped corn inside the microwave boiled over and leaked out onto said bible and the friend then tried to dab up the creamy corn and tore some pages and also when it dried it pretty much ruined 2 Corinthians through 1 Thessalonians? What do you think the friend will have to do for penance? It's just a hypothetical question for a friend.

It's just more of Paul's tripe, isn't it? He was nothing if not repetitive.I see no need for penance, after all it was scalloped corn. In many places that's penance enough.
