Do poems written from the heart read as well as professional crafted perfect poems?

I managed to come back at last,

and saw some familiar names were cast

on the pages like old times.

This is just a greeting. BUT IT RHYMES!

I'm back...

I think all poems originate from the heart, but the folks that depend on a 1st draft I think

for the most part are missing the boat. Good poetry takes work, editing, re-working lines.

Compare to a song. A songwriter bleeds through the process of writing a song, both music

    and lyrics.

A poet always thinks there initial work is a masterpiece, including me, and it's a fallacy with

few exceptions. Writing from the heart OF COURSE is good, but it's lazy to think "that's it"

unless one is not serious about their own poetry,

Great to see you LC. If you post here more, I promise I will..he he, not sure you want that

    but hope you do. Thomas

    I won't rhyme, this time,

    I'm not of a mind,

    but

I no longer post poetry here

though as a passion, I hold it dear,

    Oh dear I said I wouldn't rhyme?

I'm uncertain any poet can be deemed "professional" unless by definition that means paid for publication, in which case I've read a few Professionals whos work makes great cat litter box liner.

I've never, doubt I'll ever understand "Perfect" certainly it's ephemeral. Hugs.

LC, professionally crafted poems only happen to be when the poet who writes from the heart is also a professional writer.

Do football plays designed from the heart score as many touchdowns as those crafted by professional coaches?

Are surgical operations on the brain done from the heart just as safe as those done by professional brain surgeons?

Is car repair done from the heart as effective in fixing your car as that done by professional mechanics?

Is a bridge designed from the heart less likely to fall down than those designed by civil engineers?

    You're incredibly stupid.

There is no better poem than a poem from the heart

it wont cut you when your eyes are closed it will hold you, and craft you into a rose .

and in a dark and dismal light, it with it's words more beautiful than a baby bird singing in spring time

will lie a metaphor over your heart... that will trickle slowly into your bones and simplify the mind ..

That's just a lode of Bull-sh*t really LOL

not professional or perfect ... Just my normal crap LOL

    Welcome back ... x

I managed to return after a long time

This route was in my heart and mind

It flows like happy memories of days gone by

I saw old friends like good old times

Poems are always from the hearts

They bellow like good old wine

    Never a machine can revise.

Poetry is about Now (Not How)

The past sweeps through the door

    My aches and pains disappear

What was the long waiting for

But to know and expose every fear.

Here we can dance in delight

Embraced by old friends we hold dear

    Swirling through cachets of light

Our past and our future made clear.

    The mansion's a shambles

    This old poet rambles

    The floor strewn with brambles

    Yet memory gambols.

Rhyme falls away and the heart is revealed kneeling at the altar of friendship it cheers. Surrounded by loved ones the end times are sweeter and feelings create their divine rhyme and meter.

Hugs and welcome home (to what is left of it.)

She poked her head through the old swinging door

Saw a few friendly faces, and then a few more

She started to grin as she caught Cheesy's eye

Then she let out a holler and slapped her right thigh.
