Is there anything I can do about a squeaking floor board?

it s at the top of the stairs in a carpeted hallway.

Update:

it interferes with my late night shenanigans.

    You can fasten the board with a screw.

    Not without ripping up some flooring. It was not braised properly in the beginning.

    Yes, drive a smaller finish nail through the carpet, using a nail set.

    Lift carpet, work baby or talcum powder into the joints with adjoining boards. Relay.
