Did Mrs. Trump work in America as an illegal immigrant.?

It's funny how you guys pick and choose when to use "undocumented" vs. "illegal". That being said, she had a visa. Nobody disputes this. Some people are saying she had a visitors visa vs. a work visa. The fact is, she had a visa and was here legally. The question is if she was paid to be a model, should she be here on a visitors Visa. She could sell her labor legally, even if she didn't have a work visa.

A B-1 Visa is primarily for business purposes, a B-2 Visa is primarily for pleasure or medical treatment, a B-1/B-2 Visa is for both.

There is absolutely nothing that suggests she was here illegally. Nothing.

If you don't have a permanent employer that is specifically sending you to the US solely for the purpose of business, you should be here on a B-2 Visa. Models are not typically hired for permanent employment (more than one year). So she likely wasn't really permanently employed by the photographer or magazine, and was likely a freelance model who worked with several agencies. So it wouldn't be appropriate for her to apply for a B-1 Visa.

This story is really all just a bunch of nonsense fabricated by leaving out necessary facts hiding behind "it appears" or "was she" or that kind of blatant obscurity. Those who write their blogs know the facts, but ignore them to put the story out.

...and Libraryanna isn't a retired lawyer, she's only ever claimed to be a retired legal assistant until you asked this question.

    No,

she worked in the US on a work visa.

By the way, an illegal immigrant is someone who entered the United States without inspection. That can be done by swimming through Lake Michigan or the Rio Grande, by hiding in the trunk of a car, or by jumping a ship that's docking in a US harbor. Somebody who entered the United States "with inspection" can never become an illegal immigrant.

I was just reading about that. It appears that she did. She talks about having to go back and forth to renew her visa. If she had a work visa, she wouldn't have to do that. Which means she either had a business visa or a visitors visa. Neither of which allows you to work. There is an anti-Trump GOP group doing a public records request for her immigration documents.

Someone needs to file a Freedom of Information request, if possible. No one knows the truth bit Mrs. Trump and the government, and she, for one, seems to be confused as to how the process works.
