I poked myself with a sewing needle will I get infected?
It hurts a lot (the needle still feels like it's there and it feels deep and is a bit red but no bleeding). A small part of the skin is ripped

Since you just poked yourself, you should be perfectly fine. If you're worried about it, you could get a cotton ball with some rubbing alcohol and press/rub it on the red area to get rid of any chance of infection. If you're still concerned, put a dab of neosporen on it.

Unless you are sewing in a dirty place or the needle you are using was very unclean, you should be fine.
I have had my fair share of sewing needle pokes and the worst I've had was a sore finger from too many pokes
