You mistyped your question. You mean "Is NOT wanting to have kids strange?"
Not wanting children is called being "Child-free". The term was coined back in the 1960's. The idea is pretty big in developed countries with the exception of the USA, UK, and Australia. So no it is not strange.
Women who do not want children outnumber men by about 3 to 1.
I had a vasectomy at 21. I was lucky. My wife is OK with it, and so is her family. We have a lot of stamps in our passport. We have a condo paid in full. We are debt free. We have no need to own a car. We only rent one when we need one. We are both 50, but if I told you we were 30, you would believe it.
Be careful how you discuss the subject (especially on the internet). You may be making us look bad.
Keep in mind that the parents of the women you date or marry, will likely hate you. They may call you a "closet gay". They expect their daughter to marry a man who will "change her mind", or at least have his own children to bring to the family.
You can get a vasectomy at any Planned Parenthood if you are 21. However, do not walk in there saying, "I do not want children". Many people consider not wanting children a "mental illness". Yes, that is their personal opinion, and not endorsed by any professional organizations. Anyway, if they have ANY reason at all to question your mental health, they are required, by law, to refuse you a vasectomy.
Good luck

I don't think it's strange kids are a wonderful thing it's a person who will love you unconditionally and you love them. My baby is my best friend and she's the light of my day. I don't what I'd do without her. So no I don't think it's weird or a waste of time.

Wanting them before the age of 30 is probably a bad idea.
