Windows operating systems: XP?

Is Windows XP still available? I HATE Windows 7, 8, 8.1 & 10. I want to go back to Windows XP.

If you absolutely wanted to, you could find a copy online.

I would not recommend using Windows XP on any PC you plan on using regularly for anything online. It hasn't been updated in almost two years. Any remaining security holes won't be patched.

Internet Explorer on XP is long outdated and full of vulnerabilities. Google Chrome and Firefox both no longer support XP or Vista as well.

No new hardware is going to have drivers for XP. Heck you can't even properly install Windows 7 on a lot of brand new systems.

Basically, it's just not a wise choice for a modern computer. Newer PCs are faster, more efficient, and overall going to provide a more reliable experience in 2016. Windows 10 does take a little getting used to going from older versions of Windows, but it's a solid operating system altogether and has only improved with new updates.

I loved windows XP, it was so easy to use, but it is no longer supported and you wont find an internet browser that will work with XCP. try windows 7 it isn't that much different from XP and you will soon get the hang of it and windows 7 is a lot more stable than XP.

I went from XP to windows 7 and I was used to it in under a week

I love xp. Windows 7 seems like the closest thing to xp you'll get. It seems like with every new windows that comes out, you need a faster computer to even make it work.... Heck, back in the day if I had 6-8 gigs of ram and multi core processors on my xp machine, I could take over the world! Now you have these faster machines that barely run unless you upgrade. I swear it's a conspiracy. U could always do a dual boot thing and run xp for just your programs and non sensitive stuff.

Yes. I am currently using Windows XP on my computer and it works great. If you have Internet Explorer, you need to ditch it. It is very, very outdated, and Microsoft will not let you update it unless you have a newer OS. I use Mozilla Firefox because it and Opera are the only browsers that still support it.

I also heavily dislike 8-10, but I'm okay with Windows 7. I grew up using XP so it's very easy for me to use.

I still have WIndows XP Pro on an old computer. I'm able to go on line but the old browser isn't supported any more. I have XP, Vista, 7, 8.1 and 10. Still the simplest and quickest Microsoft O.S. Only way to get it is if you were to find an installation disc on Craigslist or Ebay, or know how to download it from a bit torrent site.

Im still on xp, why fix it if it aint broke. there are plenty of custom xps online and plenty of second hand discs if you want legit copy. Also give Linux a try which I also use, I hate windows 8 and 10 but win 7 is ok but just a bit power hungry. Dont listen to the idiots dissing it and make your own mind up.

You can use any version of windows that has ever been developed. But XP will now have a lot of security problems. It would be wiser to upgrade to a newer version of windows. You probably should have downloaded 10 while it was free.

XP is good for low ram but I prefer to use windows 7, 8 & 10.

Windows XP was an amazing OS and the majority of software will still work on it. You can still buy the OS and install it on your system. But be advised that Microsoft stopped updating it and isn't fixing any security hacks that can occur anymore.

Actually, you can. If you can get like Windows 10, and get a skin, then you can make it look like Windows xp.
