Experiences with Castor Oil and Coconut Oil for Hair Growth?

I saturate my entire head with coconut oil every Friday night after school. I leave it on all weekend until I have to go to school. Its pretty easy. It can get messy if you aren't careful tho. I always tie a plastic bag around my hair to keep it from dripping everywhere lol It takes like 2 washes to get it out of your hair. It always moisturizes my hair like crazy and put it in amazing condition. I have seen hair growth from doing this. I think it made my hair grow about a half inch after the first use lol After you do it for a long time, the hair growth starts to wear off or slow down. I would definitely encourage everybody to try this. It's freaking amazing!

NEITHER of them, on their labels ever said anything about FOR HAIR GROWTH.
FYI:
"You find people oiling hair every single day, the hair sweats and it doesn’t get washed. What do you think happens? It goes limp and becomes thin because it is not breathing,” Shamillah Mohammed, a hairstylist at SUQA, says.
Example from YA!: “Coconut oil dried and made my hair fall out? But I want to use it again, a few months ago I bought coconuts and extracted the oil from them at home and used the oil on my hair, after washing my hair it felt dry (but generally oils make my hair drier) and it made my hair fall in long strands while washing it out (but I have to say that I was losing a lot of hair at the time before using the oil).”
On page 83, a book called 'Me, My Hair & I' edited by Elizabeth Benedict, she wrote: "I knew my hair is thinning . . ." then she mentioned she had been using amla hair oil. GO FIGURE!

No oil of any type can grow hair or increase the rate of growth
All any oil can do is moisturize the hair follicle making it less likely to break. Dry, brittle hair breaks. Moisturized hair doesn't break as easily
There is nothing that you can use to make it grow except a few prescription treatments like Rogaine or Propecia that contain either minoxodil or finasteride

i've never seen any proof but i've never tried it myself. tho it doesn't make sense. honestly, coconut oil is only good for moisturizing your hair, never heard about it for hair growth. have heard about castor oil for hair growth but cannot confirm it does anything. could be a placebo effect

Scams. "Snake Oils".
There are No topical applications, that can "make" hair grow,or grow better.
Best they can do is "make" the hair Look Better.
