    if you mean I can I discern the meaning , then yes, if you mean is it a logical statement NO - no matter how I feel about some people I would NEVER want to run over one, while I don't want to run over an animal it would not be as bad and certainly not better than a person

    No, of would be "Id feel more sorry if I had ran over a pheasant, than if I'd ran over a human" Else it is saying "I'd feel more sorry if I'd ran over a pheasant than a person would''
