Can you volunteer at a psychiatrist's private practice for clinical hours for grad. school?

if so, what kind of things can you do for experience volunteering for a psychiatrist?

    If you're in grad school, the school can tell you what's acceptable. If you're not, your GPA and other test stats make the difference, not some well-meant but irrelevant volunteer work.

    People don't do volunteer work to apply to graduate school. Supervised clinicals are not done that way, you are very confused. For graduate school you will show work experience/internships.

    Your application to grad school will depend on the strength of your undergraduate prof recommendations, your work/internships, your GPA and your GRE score. A strong undergraduate thesis and published papers are helpful.
