What are some aspects of modern culture and society that separate us from nature? Weigh the benefits against the negative impact for us? What should we do, if anything, about this separation?

    Separate us from nature?

That is the dumbest question ever. I have no idea what they mean. From "nature?"

When I think of the word "nature," I think of camping. Camping in nature. Is that what they are asking about?

Camping is okay, maybe. But I like running water and indoor plumbing. And I love my comfy bed. And the refrigerator that keeps my food fresh. And electricity, so I can turn on the lights and the TV. Since I live in Minnesota, I really like turning the heat on in the winter.

There is no "negative impact." If I want to see nature, I walk outside. I live right by the woods, so if I want to risk getting some ticks, I can walk through the woods and explore nature. How nice. Ticks are bad, but deer ticks are worse because they carry Lyme disease. Trying to avoid that sort of thing. We have a lot of coyotes where I live. I can hear them at night. Every time they get a kill, they start their hooting and howling. (And here I thought they were just chasing the roadrunner.)

God told us to subdue the earth. And that is what we have done. That means we have built houses and roads and infrastructure. If someone thinks that "nature" is better, I suggest they go camping in the woods, but do not bring any tent or sleeping bags, and no equipment, and no shoes, and no bug spray. And find out how nice nature really is. (It is not nice; it is hostile. It has been hostile since God cursed this earth.)

Maybe I don't understand the question?

We are all a part of nature. What in the world are you trying to say? The only difference between humans and animals is that we are able to think, communicate in different languages, look forward to the future, worship God and be in obedience to his laws and be in unity with Jehovah's Son, Christ Jesus. Of course there are many other things humans do that animals can't. True Christians love being on this earth of so many kinds of plants, birds, fish, wild animals and domestic animals. We will, under God's Kingdom be able to inner act with all animals and not be afraid to go up to them, even petting them like our cat or dog. See why the world is so bad if you watch the video "Why Study the Bible"? See the unity true Christians have with Jesus as they preach the "good news of the Kingdom in all the inhabited earth." I have my degree... unless I'm getting yours, I'm not helping you. Do some research and quit asking people to do things for you.

Nothing separates us from nature because we are part of nature and the natural world.
