You are so misinformed. America just killed 62 Syrian soldiers last week, has killed numerous civilians and hospitals, helping militias and terrorist groups, and you complain that Russia has killed some in the course of trying to kill terrorists? Russia has the use of a base but they did not use it years. Russia also uses a naval base in Syria. You forget Assad asked Russia to come in. The U.S. has NO business there. The U.S. is not trying to get rid of terrorist groups, they are helping them.

They have a naval base. They always have had a naval base. Something the US should have thought about before they decided to set up ISIS with the Saudis and tried to make a present of Syria to the Israelis.

The Russians have had this base for many years.

They don't care about killing civilians: they want to prop up Assad.

The US and UK have killed a lot more civilians in Iraq and Libya than the Russians ever will in Syria.

There are no civilians in rebel-held areas as they are all paramilitary support for the terrorists.
