My cat died and was immediately stiff?

It was not rigimortis, he seemed die in a siezure and his muscles just stayed tense. Why?

    Because he sized and muscles stiff at point of deatg they remained stiff after dearh

    In some cases the body can stay stiff, especially if his body was stiff during seizures.

    umm... well im still googling but it definitely says that the muslces are supposed to relax and THEN go rigor mortis...

    Are ... are you sure he's dead?
