. Luke cage is pretty much a blaxpotation,comic book hybrid (with great music provided by Adrian young and the the wu-tang clan) but doesn't shy away from current events with issues involving what's going on with African Americans without getting preachy
So ballpark how dark will a TV series about a vigilante who's also ex special forcess and who's family was gunned down along with and he's the only survivor? So how dark do you think it will be?

It might be very dark, considering the Punisher MAX comics by Garth Ennis are filled with blood and violence.
In addition, Punisher actor Jon Bernthal has mentioned that the short film Dirty Laundry played an influence on his version of the character. The short film itself is very violent and gory, more so than anything seen in any of the Netflix series.

Jon Bernthal has said he wants to max-out the comic-style, so very dark, very violent, very gorey, and also a true-killer, not a sympathetic anti-hero, but Punisher as someone who's completely out of control from losing his family.
However, Netflix does have a habbit of trying to keep in-touch with the mainstream, so it'll probably be dark(not suited to watch with the whole family, Mom, Grandma), BUT, you can probably watch it with your Dad, and Grandpa.
