That all depends on what your interpretation of "Loyal" means.

Most dogs become attached to a human who is a strong, firm but fair leader to them in preference to anyone else.

You only get out of a dog, what you are prepared to put into it, regardless of what breed it is.

  • Yes, when raised as a pet and socialized correctly as a pup, and then trained, they make wonderful dogs! Just beware that some apartments and house renters do not allow bully breeds

Just like any breed, there are individuals that are Velcro dogs and there are individuals that are more independent. But, as a whole, they are pretty loyal dogs.

Any well bred quality, genetically sound dog can be loyal if properly trained and socialized. Its not breed, specific.

Virtually every dog is loyal to an owner who takes proper care of it.

Yes, very much so...ours even to the point he needed no yard boundaries like fences. Biggest problem with AmStaffs is they are very likely to kill a neighbor's small pet, leading to police involvement and restitution hassles, in addition to euthanasia for its loyalty to you and you to it.

I have one and he is a terror, worst breed of any. all he does is use the bathroom inside and pee on me and my family. he hikes his leg and pees on us. pees in the bed while we're sleeping, we take him for four 30 minute walks everyday and take him just in the backyard 6 times a day and nothing every changes with him, he will not stop going to the bathroom inside and we can't deal with it anymore
