It's not a very high quality food that just has some supplements added to support neurological function. It's not going to help with canine dementia, and if your dog is eating a better quality food currently, switching to a lower quality kibble just because it has supplements added could be more detrimental than helpful. Adding a supplement with EFA/DHA/Omega 3/Omega 6 (which is what this food had added) to a quality food won't hurt, and might slow the decline. The prescribed drug Anipryl can help markedly in some dogs and will do more than any supplements. Sticking to a routine at home and taking steps to reduce stress for the dog can also help.

Your vet has real medication for canine dementia. I don't know if or how much the dog food would help. The sooner you get the dog on meds,.the better it will be.

Probably falls into the "Can't hurt, might help" category. I haven't used it myself.
