Am I a soprano or a mezzo?
So I sing second soprano in choir and I am wondering what my voice type is. I heard that 2nd sopranos are most likely mezzos but I looked up videos of mezzo and soprano opera singers and I sound more like the sopranos, I dunno.
Anyway here is me singing the scales, going from C4 to C6 then down to D3.

I'd say you're definitely a soprano! Even though you've got what would typically be considered a mezzo range, there's more to your voice type than just that - after all, plenty of singers dip into other voice parts all the time! What makes you a soprano is the weight and tessitura of your voice. Basically, your voice is light and airy and sits best around C5-E5. Besides, a 'true' soprano is extremely rare - they can't go below a C4 whatsoever, so most of the time sopranos do have more mezzo-y ranges. Also, you have a very lovely voice with a beautiful and natural vibrato! Keep singing!
