What is the difference between an officer and an enlisted member? How does the army split-option work?

What is the difference between the the army and the national guard. If I have completed a semester of college, but I have one more to go, can I go to basics in the summer? Last question, should I join my ROTC program at college or should I become a national guard? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. If you answer any specific question please copy paste the question from here so that I know which question you are trying to answer. Thank you.

The difference between a Commissioned Officer and Enlisted.

Officers are the managers, the bosses and Enlisted are the Blue Color Wokers.

The Army is full time 24/7. The National Guard is Part Time once a month except when or if they get called onto active duty. College ROTC leads to a Commission.
