Where would I go to get boots shortened?
I have larger calves, runs in the family (my mom was in a pants size 10 when she was in her 20's and still had massive calves). I can't wear normal cowgirl boots because the leg won't fit my leg. My friend suggested buy the boots I want, and have them cut down to ankle high. But I have no idea where I would do that. Where would I look into doing that?

I know of people who still get their shoes and boots resoled in shoe/boot shops. Find one in your area and take them there. They not only fix footwear but they repair leather handbags.
