I need a serious answer about the app omegle, no silly ones. Can this person find out who I am?I really need a asnwer asap I'm scared please?
I downloaded omegle chat on my iPhone, I started typing to this guy and we went to private chat because he wanted to send me some pics, he sent me some pics of his penis and then I sent him two pics of my boobs in a bra, I took the pic of the camera app I DIDN'T get the pics from my library camera. he ended the chat, I found him again after a little and ask what happen, he said by accident and if he known you can find people by the username he would of found me. Now he kept asking to speak to me tomorrow or another time, I told him ok but really I have no plans to ever do this ever again! Now I'm scared this guy could find my location or find out who I am and track me????

Of course he can. Nothing is private online. Photos are embedded with location.

Yes, there are ways to find people online based on user name alone. I've easily tracked down a few trolls online to find out who is hiding behind the screen. It's pretty easy. I recently found a guy based on his user name and a sock account he had. Just Googled them both and it lead me to his eBay account which told me where he lived and he for some reason had his email listed on his info page. That entered into Google lead me to an Amazon page where he wrote a review using his real name.
This is why I tell my teens not to use apps like Omegle, Snap chat and so on. Strangers can very easily find you even with a photo. What you did was stupid. No telling where these photos will end up and the photos are encoded with your location and other info too. If he uploads this online it won't be too hard to find out where the photos came from.
FYI If you are under 18 you could be charged with creating and distributing child porn.

What I found is surprising so do read every word on the sites terms conditions and privacy pages.
"After a user disconnects his chat, Omegle saves the entire chat log in their server permanently,"
Omegle goes on to note that when you start a chat, the timestamp, IP address, ID cookie "and similar information for you and your chat partner" are recorded and may be used to track spammers, hackers and other potential cyberspace wrongdoers as well as for "law enforcement purposes" or to compile statistical data. All of this data is "typically" stored for about 120 days.
"People on Omegle often think their chats are private and chats get deleted once they disconnect from the conversation," Bhuyan said. "Due to this false sense of security, people often share sensitive information on it."
You have every right to tell him you are no longer interested. You can change your account info and username, or remove the app altogether.

you shouldn't be sending people pictures like that because of many reasons, the main one being location services on the phone being active and giving your location with the image when you send it.
using the same user ID or profile picture (if it's unique and not found on the internet) anyone can find all your accounts online very easily and if you have been careless on one or more of them, they can easily get a lot of information on you.
