What dating sites have you joined or are worth joining?

My friends and I were discussing this the other day. Their suggestions; eHarmony, Match, POF, FarmersOnly, Christian Mingle, DateMySchool, etc. I argued that they are all pretty similar and have largely the same pool of candidates to draw from. I am interested to hear of other people's opinions. Are "free," or less expensive apps better than signing up and paying subscription fees to sites?

Honestly I had better luck on craigslist than dating apps which is pretty messed up lol. But from my experience skip the dating apps and work on face to face interactions with people who share common interests through different groups.

There's definitely an assumption that people on free apps etc. are looking for hook-ups, and people who are willing to pay are looking for relationships. So which ones are worth joining in that regard depends entirely on what you are looking for. Christian Mingle has a reputation for having more weirdos than normal. I think you need to look at the sites, take advantage of free sign-up offers for example, and see which ones feel the best for you.
