    I think he's both. I mean, a good actor can do both and a great actor can do even more. De Niro was a gangster, a boxer, a comedian, a grandpa, OCD father, and one time he was a catatonic in Awakenings. He's just a beast.

    he started off as a typecast gangster then went into comedy later in life
